Specs
Processor: Intel Core i7 10510U
RAM: 16GB DDR4
Storage: 512GB SSD
Display: 14in
Benefits
- As previously mentioned, the battery life on the Gram 14 is very impressive. Weighing at 2.2lbs, the 72wH 4 cell configuration has been given a lifespan on 13 hours which gives it a serious advantage over similar competitors in the price range.
- LG has also put a lot of effort into improving the display on the 14Z90N. The IPS display allows most users to see what is on the screen at any angle and by coming in at 400 nits, the contents on screen are often crisp and vivid.
- By using the 10th gen i7-10510U, you get good levels of performance most of the time and offers what you expect from an Intel unit. In addition, the 16GB of memory and 512GB of memory is slightly more than other models in the market.
Downsides
- Whilst the Gram 14 is well-designed for the most part, the power button is located just above the keyboard which is not ideal. It only takes one slip of the finger to knock the button and switch everything off in a moment’s notice.
Verdict
In the end, LG have come up with a very solid offering with the Gram 14Z90N. The weird placement of the power button may have the ability ot frustrate some people but the exceptional battery life and powerful performance should give their rivals something to worry about.
