Lenovo Ideapad is a name of dependability and reliability in the world of laptops. The IdeaPad and ThinkPad series from Lenovo don’t look like premium-quality devices but perform like the best of them. The IdeaPad 330 is more of the same; a great mid-range multipurpose laptop to cater to all your needs.
Processor: Core i7 8750H
Storage: 1TB HDD
GPU: GTX 1050
Display Size: 15.6”
The laptop comes with a GTX 1050 2GB GDDR5 GPU. It’s not a high-level graphics card obviously, but it’s still a decent mid-range GPU that can run a lot of your modern-day AAA games on respectable settings. You can get 60 fps in Overwatch, over a hundred on CS:GO and 40 fps on GTA V; all on high settings at 1080p resolution.
The processor on this laptop is an Intel Core i7-8750H processor with six core and twelve threads. Its definitely an extremely power processor with its 2.2GHz – 4.1GHz frequency range. It also has a 9MB cache to make it that much faster; making sure that there’s no CPU-heavy process your laptop can’t run.
- The price of this laptop is a bit unreasonable. Yes, you’re getting a decent bit of hardware, but you could get a lot of more powerful GPUs and storage option if you add a bit more to your budget. In terms of GPU, you could maybe even slip into the RTX-series if you can add some extra cash to your laptop-budget.
- If you’re purchasing from Lenovo’s official Amazon page, you’ll get a laptop with no operating system, and extra price you’re going to have to pay to add to the cost that much more.
There’s nothing wrong with the Lenovo IdeaPad 330. It’s a great laptop with high-end specs and great for all types of users. However, the huge price tag is a huge letdown. If the price went down a bit, we’d be hands-down on the team IdeaPad. But, there are a lot better products you could get at a slightly higher price which makes the 330 a bad purchase.
